Short Answer: Security!  All WordPress websites are built using various plugins and additional programs that need to be updated to make sure security ‘loopholes” are closed as quickly as they are found.

Long Answer: Plugins are updated constantly, whether free or Premium, developers are always improving their programming and making sure their plugin continues to work on the ever changing platform of WordPress.  Everytime WordPress has an update, plugins need to make sure they update their programming so your site can continue working smoothly and be safe from hackers and other security risks.  Plugins that are made to work with other programs, like Elementor, also need to update themselves every time Elementor is updated – again, so they run smoothly. You also want to protect your data, in the event of loss, so you won’t have to start from scratch if your website were to ever be lost.  Any proper maintenance plan will include backups for this very reason.

This will depend on the type of site you currently have, but below is a good place to start.  Any questions, feel free to contact me and we can cater a plan to your needs.

BASIC PLAN: this plan is best for small websites that do not change very often.  If you have a small informational website, where you only might make a change once or twice a month, this plan is a good way to protect your investment without breaking your wallet.  You will receive monthly updates, backups and security scans and if anything were to happen we can restore the most recent backup – which at any moment would only be 30 days old or less.

PRO PLAN: this plan is best for larger informational or e-commerce sites. These sites receive regular updates or changes.  This change can be in the form of a sale, update to page content or a new blog entry.  In this case you want to protect your investment so that if something were to happen we can restore it to the most recent backup – which at any moment would only be 7 days old or less. This plan also offers 24/7 outage monitoring, in the event your site goes down – I’ll be notified and will assist with getting you back up quickly.

PREMIUM PLAN: this plan is best for large informational websites, large scale e-commerce or sites that receive heavy traffic.  For sites like this, you will want to make sure that there are daily scans & backups along with weekly updates so your site is always optimal.  If something were to happen to your site, we can restore from a backup – which at any moment would only be 24 hours old or less. This plan also offers 24/7 outage monitoring, in the event your site goes down – I’ll be notified and will assist with getting you back up quickly.

You will fill out a short form and be added into my client management system.  I will contact with within 1 business day to set up auto-payment for the plan you have chosen and you will sign a contract outlining the service I am offering.  You can cancel your plan at any time and are not obligated to sign up for any long-term contract.  Each plan does require auto-payment be set up, payable on the 1st of each month.

The contract is not to lock you into receiving support from my company, but it simply outlines what is included in the plans and what is not.  I do this so we both have a proper expectation of services before embarking on this new relationship.

**There are no refunds offered once a month has been paid, but as long as you have cancelled 48 hours before the next date you will no longer be billed for services.  I will always honor our agreement, for the full month paid, even if you choose to cancel ahead of time.  Services will continue until the last day of the month you paid for.

Each plan is set up for auto-pay, payable on the 1st of each month.  There is a grace period of 3 business days, in the event something goes wrong with your payment method.  If you continue to experience issues, please contact me directly otherwise your plan will be be cancelled until payment can be secured.

You can cancel this service at any time.  If you do not want to be billed for a new month, please make sure to cancel at least 48 hours before the next billing date.  Simply contact me to handle this for you.

PRO PLAN: this plan offers an hour of support each month that can be used to fix your site should it go down or need to be restored from a backup.  If you have used this time for something else, you will be quoted a price to restore your site. Your site can be restored to the most recent backup, which at the most would be 7 days.

PREMIUM PLAN: this plan offers 2 hours of support time which can be used if your site experiences an outage or requires the restoring of a backup. If you have used this time for something else, you will be quoted a price to restore your site. Your site can be restored to the most recent backup, which at the most would be 24 hours.

The PRO and PREMIUM plans offer 24/7 outage monitoring.  I am notified in the event a client’s site goes down (for anything more than 1 minute).  In the event this happens, I will evaluate the outage and alert you should it mean your site is down for more than 5 minutes.  If the outage is permanent, I will discuss with you what the next steps might be (restore from a backup, hosting changes, etc) and we will plan accordingly.
